Crowns and Bridges
A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a mechanically weakened tooth (e.g. badly decayed, cracked, root canal treated) thus restoring its shape, size, strength, appearance and function.. Crowns are easily color matched and blends seamlessly with your natural teeth.
A bridge is literally multiple units of crowns joined together to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns on either side of the space known as abutment teeth (anchoring teeth) with pontic (false tooth/teeth) in between. The pontic is fused in between 2 crowns, thereby bridging them together. Bridge not only fills gaps, but also prevents drifting of remaining teeth. It can also improve your chewing and speech,,correct a misaligned bite, and maintain your face shape.
